Plain summary
By using Ambience you agree to these terms. We're building this in public; the service is in early-access preview. We'll act in good faith; please don't abuse the service or use it to do harm.
Acceptable use
You may use Ambience for any lawful purpose. You must not:
- Submit content that's illegal, infringes others' rights, or contains malware.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other accounts or our infrastructure.
- Resell or sublicense the service to third parties without our consent.
- Interfere with or disrupt the service or its underlying networks.
- Use the service to surveil people without their knowledge or consent.
Your data
You retain ownership of all content you submit. By using the service you grant Ambience a non-exclusive licence to process your content solely to operate the service. We do not feed customer data into general model training. See the privacy policy for what we collect, where it's stored, and how to delete it.
Service availability
Ambience is in early-access preview. The service is provided as-is, without warranty of fitness for purpose. We'll do our best to keep it up but make no uptime guarantees during this phase. We'll give notice of breaking changes via email when reasonable.
Termination
You can stop using Ambience at any time. To request account deletion, email hello@ambience.sh; we'll process the request and confirm completion within 30 days. Memories you've shared into a team or org scope are retained per that workspace's policy. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, subject to a reasonable opportunity to cure where appropriate.
Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ambience and its operators shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Total aggregate liability shall not exceed amounts paid by you to us in the 12 months preceding the claim (currently zero, the service is free in preview).
Changes
We may update these terms as the product matures. Material changes will be announced via email and the updated date above will reflect the change.
